This 'module' encourages the participant to improve and widen their ability to 'see and respond' by exploring the world of patterns and textures that abounds about all around us. Suitable equipment and lighting is discussed and its direction & source are examined.

The dynamics, & harmonics of colour are explored plus the complexities compositional rhythm.

The student is encouraged to explore the contrasting worlds of structure, chaos and minamalism.

The participant is encouraged to select a theme and produce a set of pictures based upon it. Through discussion, practice and illustration the student is encouraged to improve his/her critical skills and thus improve picture making.
