| Removing
a Colour Cast as Demonstrated by Bob Rowe ARPS |
| The
following technique for removing/reducing a colour cast was demonstrated by Rob
Rowe when visiting our group on Sunday 7th march 2004 |
| Use the
Eyedropper Tool to sample the colour cast where it shows upon an area within the
image that should be of a neutral grey tone. The 'sampled colour' will appear as the Foreground Colour at the base of the Tool Bar. |
| Create a New (empty) Layer (Click on the New Layer icon at the base of the Layers Palette (it looks like a sheet of paper with a folder corner). |
| Fill
the new, empty, layer with the Foreground Colour - use Alt + Backspace Invert (make negative) the colour by Ctr + I |
Change
the Blend Mode for this layer from 'Normal' to 'Colour'. |
An
alternative method for correcting a colour cast can be found on Clive Haynes'
websie. |
