This 'module' is covers the basic skills in photographing people in non-studio environments.
The course includes information about using 'available light, when to use 'flash', what film to choose, whether to shoot in black & white or colour, the concepts and conventions of composition and viewpoint.

The course also reviews the equipment required, suitable lenses & accessories and looks at different aspects of 'people photography' including the works of 'the masters' of the genre.

The participant is encouraged to select a theme and produce a set of pictures based upon it.
Through discussion, practice and illustration the student is encouraged to improve his/her critical skills and thus improve picture making.
