Landscape Photography (Level 3)
Course reference number 62/52A

This 'module' gives the participant a firm grounding in the principles and art of landscape photography.
The course covers the roots of the genre, including how to 'see' the landscape, and appreciate the 'qualities of light', the use of space, conventions of landscape composition, tension & balance in the picture, when to add human interest and 'discovering miniature landscapes'. Suitable photo-equipment is also reviewed.

The course also examines the inspirational works of great landscape photographers. The participant is encouraged to select a theme and produce a set of pictures based upon it.
Through discussion, practice and illustration the student is encouraged to improve his/her critical skills and thus improve picture making.
